Monday we headed to see the surgeon - in nursery we might say "seeing the surgeon is fun to do, fun to do, to do, to do" :o). She was very nice and explained things well. They are not completely sure which type of cancer it is (they thought it was Lobular, but now questioning it a bit as it is kind of doing it's own thing), but the good news is, the treatment is the same for either kind. We know it is invasive cancer with some calcification trailing away from it. They are concerned as to why that is and think it could be the non-invasive going on there, and of course they will know more after the surgery. They will remove it all in surgery, which is wonderful. They have some new procedures for testing the lymph nodes, which is another BIG plus. She gave us the pros and cons as to the kinds of surgery we can decide on. It looks like I will get to enjoy this beautiful weather for the rest of this week (no complaining there), as my surgery is scheduled for Friday, March 27. It will be nice to get that finished and hear back on the lab results so we will know the answer to the big question "WHAT'S NEXT" :o) We know we are being watched over without a doubt and all will be well. What a blessing!!
I'm so glad you set up a blog. This will be great to get updates. I need to have candice email and invite me to hers. Good luck this Friday. You will be in our prayers.
